"This mission is gravely important, Sergeant. Many lives depend on your success. Dismissed."- Commander Tavus to MeteorDuring the Civil War | Mantellian Separatist CrisisEventCold War (3653BBY - 3642BBY) | , after preventing | The AmbushEventCold War (3653BBY - 3642BBY) | Separatist ambush, Meteor | MeteorCharacterMajor Characters | met with Commander Tavus | Harron Tavus(Human)CharacterSupporting Characters | , who congratulated Meteor for successfully ending the ambush and saving the Republic convoy, adding that the soldiers of the 45th Infantry Battalion | 45th Infantry Battalion(Republic Army)OrganizationGalactic Republic (GGW, CW and GW) | would be singing praises to Meteor for some time.Slightly frustrated that they hadn't come closer to finding the bomb, Meteor asked if the decoding of the data from Bellis | Bellis(Human)CharacterMinor Characters (TOR) | 's field box was successful, and Tavus confirmed that this was indeed - Lieutenant Jorgan | Aric Jorgan(Cathar)CharacterSupporting Characters | had finished reviewing the intel. Jorgan said that Bellis discovered that the separatists had the ZR-57 securely inside their supply outpost on Mannett Point, a small island just off the coast. Tavus informed Meteor that he sent Wraith | Zora(Mirialan)CharacterSupporting Characters | ahead to reconnoiter the outpost, and she successfully located a secure area where they believed the bomb was stored - and judging by the dramatic increase in the number of guards and the complex security systems installed, Tavus and Jorgan were certain the bomb was there. Jorgan pointed that with security like this, Mannett Point looked more like an Imperial military base than a separatist hideout and he thought that the Separatists were getting a help from the Empire. Meteor agreed with Jorgan, but Tavus expressed his doubts that there was Imperial presense on Ord Mantell, pointing out that the Republic's spies should have discovered the Imperials long before that. He said that they would discuss the possibility of any Imperial connections later, now they should focus on the mission at hand.Tavus continued that Wraith couldn't breach the secured area of the outpost alone and she needs help, the only bridge was out of commission and Meteor would have to make an amphibious approach to the island. The Meteor's mission was to effect entry into the supply outpost and rendezvous with Wraith inside, then follow her orders.Meteor acknowledged the orders, but before leaving the command room, the sergeant reported that lieutenant named Virk | Virk(Zabrak)CharacterMinor Characters (TOR) | was running a bribery scheme with the men under his command - and Commander Tavus promised to look into the matter.Meteor teamed up | Republic OperativesOrganizationTemporary Unions | with Voidhound | VoidhoundCharacterMajor Characters | and they went to the island of Mannett Point. Along the way they agreed to help a couple of refugees to find their son | Lost SonEventCold War (3653BBY - 3642BBY) | , a journalist Lamalla Rann | Lamalla Rann(Human)CharacterMinor Characters (TOR) | with the retrieval | The Untold StoryEventCold War (3653BBY - 3642BBY) | of the holodisks and Commander Bragan | Bragan(Human)CharacterMinor Characters (TOR) | , whose squad was pinned down by a separatist attack | Bridging the GapEventCold War (3653BBY - 3642BBY) | . They also agreed to return | Victims of WarEventCold War (3653BBY - 3642BBY) | Dr. Jaen Kett | Jaen Kett(Human)CharacterMinor Characters (TOR) | at the request of Lieutenant Xorem | Xorem(Human)CharacterMinor Characters (TOR) | .The operatives swam across the river and were attacked by separatists | Mantellian SeparatistsOrganizationPlanetary and Sector | patrolling the shore. They fought back and killed many of them, reasoning that it would help the Republic soldiers | Republic ArmyOrganizationGalactic Republic (GGW, CW and GW) | retake the island later. After killing many Separatists inside the depot and completing several tasks together, Meteor parted ways with Voidhound and headed towards the building where Wraith was waiting.Meteor entered the building and met with Captain Zora who was already hacked the terminal and had been working through the local network. She said that the bomb was inside the base, behind the force field - she would disable the shield from here, and ordered Meteor to go inside and destroy the generator, adding that she would come as soon as that was done. The sergeant acknowledged the order and left.Meteor infiltrated the base and descended to the second level, where, according to Zora, the generator should have been located. Meteor reached the premises, which, apparently, was used as a infirmary. There, the sergeant met with three wounded Separatists - Jex | Jex(Human)CharacterMinor Characters (TOR) | , Banley | Banley(Human)CharacterMinor Characters (TOR) | and Grannin | Grannin(Human)CharacterMinor Characters (TOR) | - who pleaded not to kill them, offering Meteor all their possessions. Meteor let them go - under the condition that they'd fight no more - and even warned them that there was still a lot of shooting and they had to be careful. They thanked Meteor and ran away. Meteor reached the forcefield generator control room, killed the Separatists guarding it, and deactivated the generator, disabling the force field blocking access to the secured area where the bomb was believed to be held.Meteor breached the secured area, but inside found a separatist officer named Dalern | Dalern(Human)CharacterMinor Characters (TOR) | inside. Bold and defiant at first, Dalern gave in as soon as Meteor pointed a blaster at him. After interrogating him along with Captian Zora, Meteor learned that the bomb had already been moved to a new, unknown location. However, Meteor also learned security of the base was increased not because of the bomb, but because several important separatist commanders - Saphrro | Saphrro(Human)CharacterMinor Characters (TOR) | , Vyru | Vyru(Human)CharacterMinor Characters (TOR) | and Bol | Bol(Human)CharacterMinor Characters (TOR) | - were in the Mannett Point base. Commander Jorgan issued a new order to eliminate the commanders and retrieve all the data they had. Leaving Zora with Dalern, Meteor went to the command center where a meeting between Separatist commanders was being held. The meteor reached the room where the conference was taking place. He entered the room where all three commanders were gathered and ordered them to surrender. Commander Bol ordered his colleague Saphrro to delete all data from the computer and they attacked. Despite being outnumbered three to one, Meteor quickly killed them all before Saphrro or anyone else deleted the files. Meteor downloaded all the data from the computer into the datapad and left the command center.Teaming up with Voidhound again, they found Paul | Paul(Human)CharacterMinor Characters (TOR) | , Iero | Iero(Human)CharacterMinor Characters (TOR) | and Ellis | Ellis(Human)CharacterMinor Characters (TOR) | ' lost son, and convinced him to leave the Separatists. While searching the base, they found Waxx | Waxx(Human)CharacterMinor Characters (TOR) | , the missing Lamalla's holorecorder operator, but were unable to convince him to return the holodiscs to them. They left the depot and, having reached the shore, reported their success to Commander Bragan. Returning to the main island, they informed Lamalla of Waxx's decision, and then, returning to the refugee camp, told Paul's fate to his parents. Finally, they met with Lieutenant Xorem and convinced him to help with the evacuation of Dr. Kett. All things done, Meteor thanked Voidhound for the help and headed towards Republic Command Center.Read more... |
